Open to all aspiring filmmakers, this event demands grassroots grit, originality, imagination, and exceptional storytelling. The top films will premiere at the 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown, vying for a first-place prize of $5,000 and the coveted People’s Choice award.
But this isn’t just a film screening—it’s a full-throttle audience experience. Expect belly laughs, playful heckling, and a room buzzing with energy as the crowd cheers on their friends and these fearless new storytellers. A fully stocked bar keeps the good times flowing, pouring all your favorite beverages while you take in the magic (and mayhem) of films created in just 72 hours. As the official kick-off event for the World Ski & Snowboard Festival—a full seven-day celebration of mountain culture—this night sets the tone for an epic week of sport, music, art, and wild après sessions.
