Miriam van Emst
Story Editor / Showrunner
With over 10 years of experience in unscripted television, Ruth Nanda delights in telling stories that enrich and entertain, no matter the genre. Ruth is currently Co-Showrunner and Executive Producer of the new dating format, Farming for Love (CTV | Lark Productions), and Showrunner and Executive Producer of the upcoming limited documentary series, Our War (HISTORY Canada | Lark Productions). She has worked as a story producer and a story editor on a wide breadth of programming, from acclaimed docu-series such as Emergency Room: Life and Death at VGH (Knowledge Network) and Keeping Canada Alive (CBC), to popular lifestyle and factual series, including Pamela’s Garden of Eden (HGTV Canada) and Rust Valley Restorers (HISTORY Canada). Ruth is a selected recipient of the 2021 Corus Apprentice Showrunner program, in conjunction with the Banff World Media Festival.
Cameron Power comes from a small country town in New South Wales, Australia. He studied theatre at Charles Sturt University (2002-2004), but co-producing a behind-the-scenes documentary in his final year quickly turned him off theatre and onto factual television. He’s worked as a dubbing assistant and assistant editor for Beyond Television in Sydney, on series such as Mythbusters, Selling Houses and Deadly Women, before heading a team of Assistant Editors for two seasons of MasterChef Australia. Cameron moved to Vancouver in 2014 where he began as an assistant editor for several Lark productions and over time graduated to Editor, and was assigned his first full episode on The Real Housewives of Toronto in 2017. He’s since edited episodes of The Wrestlers (Viceland), Paramedics (Lark), Punk (Network Entertainment), Camp Bonkers (WindSunSky), Pets & Pickers (Tyson Media), Border Security (Entertainment One) and most recently Our War (Lark) as well as smaller projects and sizzles.
Post Production Supervisor
Michael brings over 15 years’ experience to his role as Post Production Supervisor at Lark Productions. A Vancouver-based media professional, he is responsible for overseeing the editorial and finishing processes from camera through delivery. Previous positions range from Post Consultation/ Pipeline as well as Technical Coordination for post facilities and Assistant Editor. Credit highlights include: Family Law (Corus Entertainment), Punk (Epix), Paramedics: Life On The Line (Knowledge Network), The Real Housewives Of Toronto (Corus Entertainment), Jade Fever (Discovery Channel), The Bachelor Canada (Rogers Media).
Director of Photography
Mark is a Vancouver based Director of Photography shooting mainly unscripted but also documentary and commercial projects. He has over 20 years of experience and has shot dozens of seasons of series ranging from true crime to cooking shows, renovation to health and fitness. Some of his credits include the Real Housewives of Vancouver and Love it or List it.
