Power Pitch is an intensive pitch training workshop and competition for Canadian producers with feature projects in development. Pitch your project to top industry sales agents, broadcasters and distributors.
Designed to set applicants up for success by fine-tuning their project packages and pitching skills, the program culminates in a pitch competition where one producer walks away with $35K in production credits and cash.
Up to five finalists – including one wild card participant from WFF’s 2024 Producers Lab – will be chosen by a selection committee to compete for a $35,000 prize package, including a $25K production package featuring a post-production credit from Company 3 Method; and a $10K lighting and grip production credit from Sunbelt Rentals including a $1K cash prize.
Additionally, the winner will receive the opportunity to speak with the jury members for invaluable feedback and advice on their project, forge formidable relationships with industry executives, and be invited to attend the Talent Lab luncheon following the Power Pitch event.
During the competition, finalists will have six minutes to pitch their feature film to three senior execs from recognized international sales companies, broadcasters and/or distributors, who will provide feedback on the quality and marketability of the projects presented – and select the winning project.
The winner will be announced during WFF24.
All Power Pitch participants will receive a Whistler Film Festival + Content Summit festival industry pass (value $650) and be eligible for one-on-one meetings with industry experts to determine interest in development.
