Mission:

As the Recruiter, you will support the recruiting function for Distillery VFX and manage our talent pipeline in line with our recruiting strategy.  Under the direction of the HR Manager, you will use your knowledge of the VFX industry to actively engage with and reach out to potential candidates, building our candidate network and market presence.

Objective:

• Perform all aspects of the recruiting cycle including creating and updating job postings, shortlisting applications, coordinating and attending interviews, checking references, preparing offer letters, and communication all status updates.

• Source and generate leads for open positions by utilizing and maintaining candidate database, social media platforms, job boards, etc.

• Coordinate and attend career fairs and industry employment events to promote Distillery and our current career opportunities.

• Maintain an up-to-date record of candidates, interviews, and hiring outcomes for future hiring needs.

• Generate weekly reports for leadership team on the status of recruitment pipeline, industry trends, etc.

• In line with our recruiting strategy, identify areas of improvement and unidentified talent markets and/or recruiting methodologies.

• Help create job posts and job ads; ensuring posts are accurate and in compliance with Service Canada requirements.

• Collaborate with the leadership, production and technology teams to ensure clear flow of information about in coming candidates.

• Partner with our marketing team to ensure effective promotion of vacancies on social media.

• 2+ years experience working in Recruitment in VFX or Gaming industry

• Familiarity with MS Office Suite, especially Excel

• Experience using LinkedIn & LinkedIn Recruiter to source and track candidates

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, actively listens and asks questions for clarification and understanding

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs, and the skills to handle potential roadblocks before they occur

• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while being flexible in adjusting priorities to meet changing demands

• Energetic, motivated self-starter, who takes initiative to get things done
