Position Overview:
Lark Productions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in streamlining financial operations within a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Corporate accounting and compliance.
  • Prepare month-end files for review, including credit card reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely filing of GST / EHT / WCB remittances.
  • Prepare intercompany invoices and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and manage development cost reports.
  • Prepare and manage corporate cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare distribution reports for CMF and broadcasters.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for quarterly board meetings.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end files for auditors.
  • Maintain organized and complete accounting records.


  • Oversee A/P, payroll, and GST reporting.
  • Review cash flow forecasts and internal tax credit calculations.
  • Set up bank accounts, GST, and WCB accounts.
  • Liaise with business affairs for compliance with funding agencies and CRA.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of audits and year-ends.
  • Keep up to date on industry policies and regulations.
  • Maintain working relationships with external partners.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • CPA designation or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Canadian film/television (asset).
  • Proficient in accounting financial systems and experience with production accounting systems (PSL+, EP) (asset).
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and take direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Teams.
