Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts is hiring a Program Coordinator, Community & Cultural Partnerships.
This permanent part-time role supports the planning, management, and facilitation of productions, events, and activities connected to the SCA Community Engagement Fund. The position works with community arts collaborations and community educational initiatives that support the mission of the School for the Contemporary Arts while strengthening relationships with community partners.
The role may be a fit for candidates with experience in arts administration, cultural production, community engagement, producing, event planning, scheduling, budgeting, contracting, and relationship-building with artists and cultural organizations.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Cultural Production, Arts Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, along with three years of experience producing, planning, or coordinating arts and community-engaged initiatives.
Knowledge of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside cultural landscape, strong communication skills, and experience working respectfully with diverse communities are also listed as important qualifications.
