TELUS is proud to support local communities and content creators through the stories we tell and content we create. Through the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) funding, the TELUS Local Content team provides production grants, training, mentorship, live streaming, and distribution opportunities to diverse filmmakers and content creators in BC and Alberta. We distribute these stories to over one million TELUS Optik TV customers as well as to audiences online. We are focused on empowering underrepresented communities and individuals, empowering them to tell their stories through our STORYHIVE programs.

We are a team of highly skilled, diverse, and passionate professionals dedicated to creating a space that amplifies storytellers’ voices and is free of barriers so all communities in BC and Alberta have access to create, distribute, and discover stories that matter to them. The expertise of our team is built by folks who bring a variety of identities and lived experiences, as well as professional experience in Film/TV production, marketing, community building, equity, and more.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together:

As the Senior Product Manager at TELUS Local Content, you’ll be at the forefront of a digital content revolution, driving change that resonates far beyond our immediate reach. Your innovative approach will not only shape how stories are told and consumed but also nurture emerging talent, helping passionate creators transform their dreams into sustainable careers in the Canadian Broadcasting and/or digital media industry.

Your impact will extend deep into our communities, fostering connections and understanding through the power of shared stories. As you lead our programs, you’ll be building bridges between cultures and experiences, reaching over a million TELUS Optik TV customers and online audiences. Your work will contribute significantly to the growth of the local creative economy, channeling resources and opportunities to content creators and establishing BC and Alberta as hubs for innovative digital content creation.
