This is a 1-year Term role

We work collaboratively as a bridge between government and industry to elevate British Columbia’s creative sector through leadership, collaboration, and investment. Creative BC is an independent non-profit with the mandate to provide a highly specialized suite of programs, initiatives, and services to sustain and grow B.C.’s creative industries and promote them around the world. As a member of our team, you’ll understand the business behind creativity and become part of the Province’s only economic development agency of record to help steward this sector.

Build on the organization’s history and reputation by bringing your own integral contributions to our sector-related activities and supports. These include granting programs, motion picture tax credit programs, B.C. film commission services, and overall sector development, promotion, and marketing.

Together we’ll deliver value to the provincial economy with supports and services for the industries we serve, fostering their local capacity and global strength. We’ll do this through partnership with, and support for, thousands of talented people within B.C.’s creative storytelling industries’ exciting and vast provincial ecosystem. The Role 

The Coordinator, Brand + Communications directly supports the Manager and collaborates with the Specialist to deliver quality content across all channels consistently and dependably over time. The Coordinator is an excellent content creator, highly creative thinker, and enjoys the challenge and satisfaction of consistently distributing high-volume communications and the responsibility of acting as a key champion for the sector and for Creative BC’s activities. Reporting to the Manager, Brand + Communications, the Coordinator must be a self-starter, with built-in initiative, curiosity, integrity and commitment to deliver on the editorial calendar. The Coordinator supports teams and staff to proactively and effectively engage their intended audiences and grow support for the sector, Creative BC programs, initiatives and services. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver on the editorial calendar with engaging digital and social media content adhering to style guides and protocols for diverse audiences.
  • Develop resonant content promoting Creative BC and related programs, services and initiatives like Reel Green™, Creative Pathways™, and CIERA™.
  • Assist with Salesforce list management, tracking engagement, and providing reports to improve audience reach and conversions.
  • Collaborate with the Programs team to proactively prepare materials, track initiatives, and identify opportunities to actively promote upcoming activities.
  • Monitor Communication team projects, deadlines, and media opportunities, ensuring timely alerts, reminders, and updates.
  • Report progress against priorities, identify pressure points early, and maintain brand consistency across all applications.
