We work collaboratively as a bridge between government and industry to elevate British Columbia’s creative sector through leadership, collaboration, and investment. Creative BC is an independent non-profit with the mandate to provide a highly specialized suite of programs, initiatives, and services to sustain and grow B.C.’s creative industries and promote them around the world. As a member of our team, you’ll understand the business behind creativity and become part of the Province’s only economic development agency of record to help steward this sector.

These include granting programs, motion picture tax credit programs, B.C. film commission services, and overall sector development, promotion, and marketing.

The Role 

The Coordinator, Motion Picture Tax Credit Programs directly supports the Manager and supports the overall Motion Picture Tax Credit Programs department. Reporting to the Manager, Motion Picture Tax Credit Programs, the Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting the tax team more broadly in delivering provincial Film and TV tax credit programs for British Columbia. The Coordinator will support our clientele and our team of highly technical analysts and leads with accessible expertise, efficient coordination, and dedication to excellent customer experience, which are integral to fostering strong relationships with both international and domestic producers, ultimately driving economic activity for the industry within B.C. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the overall Motion Picture Tax Credit Programs team and administration of motion picture tax credit programs.
  • Prioritize, coordinate, and respond to inquiries, building client relationships through service.
  • Administer and report on the tax credit pre-certification process for the Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC) program.
  • Collaborate and engage in the execution of process improvements and tax credit projects.
  • Ensure proper privacy measures and respect the confidentiality of productions and taxpayer information.
  • Meet regularly with other teams within Creative BC to align program delivery, communications, and systems structure.
