The Executive Residency Program is a new initiative dedicated to providing industry access for mid-career professionals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or persons of colour in order to influence a change in the next generation of executives and decision makers. The eight-month national program will match high-level executives (such as VPs, Executive Producers, Development/Production Executives) with emerging leaders, providing insight into how creative and business decisions are made on a higher level, and allowing participants to learn from the best, develop their creative, business and leadership skills, and make meaningful connections in the industry.
The Executive Residency Program is presented by our Supporting Partner Telefilm Canada; Collaborative Partners Bell Media, CBC, Comweb Foundation, Pinewood Toronto Studios, Canada Media Fund, and Boat Rocker; and Community Partners BIPOC TV & Film, The Black Academy, and imagineNATIVE.
This program is designed to support members of the following underrepresented communities: Black, Indigenous, or persons of colour. Applications can be submitted and developed in English or French, but the program sessions and communication are solely in English. Placements will be made in English-dominant environments.
For more information, please review the program Rules & Regulations. If you require accessibility adjustments to complete this application, please email programs@academy.ca.
