Position Overview
Our Crew Members work within our Lighting, Cable, and Grip teams to support the customer experience with loadouts, returns, quality control, and testing of gear to ensure it is safe for use on set. This front-facing role within our busy rental warehouse plays an integral part in reinforcing the Company as being the supplier of choice.
Responsibilities
- Pull orders and perform counts following company processes with accuracy
- Visually check equipment to ensure there is no visible damage, all pieces are accounted for, and equipment is in good working condition
- Assemble equipment as necessary and test prior to shipment
- Maintain a keen eye to spot damaged equipment, flag issues, and refer defective equipment to the appropriate party
- Build strong product knowledge of equipment, continuously expanding technical expertise
- Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
- Deliver top-notch customer service, supporting crew members both internally and externally
- Conduct all duties expeditiously in a safe and careful manner to minimize damage
- Perform inventory functions, including staging, scanning, printing barcodes, status inquiries, and quality control activities
Qualifications
- Some experience in a warehouse environment
- Some customer service experience
- Experience with rental operations and technical knowledge of lighting, grip, and cable equipment is an asset
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable and available for overtime, including weekends, to support client needs as required
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including maneuvering awkward rental gear and consistently lifting an average of 60 lbs. as required
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being active while working
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness across all processes
- Some knowledge of computers, including inventory software, is preferred
