Our April Film Industry Networking Event will feature THREE guest speakers:

Doryan Mash, a Regional Safety Advisor for the Actsafe Safety Association, is a Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) with over 15 years of practical and specialized Occupational Health and Safety practice. He has been a dedicated Safety Champion within the Arts and Entertainment industry throughout the interior of British Columbia since 2009. He has contributed to over 300 live performances or productions, providing rigging
expertise and safety oversight along the way. Doryan will be speaking about safety in filmmaking.

Ana Monteiro is the Event and Festival Producer for the Kamloops Film Society. She is a filmmaker and cultural producer from Figueira da Foz, trained in audiovisual studies and masterclasses with renowned cinematographers Christian Berger and Larry Smith. She has held key roles in multiple festivals, including producer and programmer for Shortcutz Figueira da Foz (2017–2020) and creative director of the Young South Film Festival. Now with the Kamloops Film Society, she helps coordinate and run festivals and events like the Kamloops Film Festival.
Sam Theriault is currently the longest-tenured member of the KFS staff. As the Programming Manager, he works with the KFS’ presenting partners to bring in a diverse movie selection to serve the wide-ranging tastes of the Paramount’s patrons. He loves the shared experience of going to the theatre and lives for the post-movie discussions.

Ana and Sam will be answering questions and offering tips about how to succeed at film festivals.
