The New School of Fundraising is offering two online workshops in August for fundraisers, nonprofit workers, arts administrators, board members, and community leaders looking to strengthen their fundraising skills.
These workshops may be relevant for film-adjacent workers, arts organizations, festivals, community programs, producers, and nonprofit teams looking to build stronger fundraising strategies.
Current workshops include:
- Strategic Grant Seeking
August 11, 2026, 10:00 AM–11:30 AM PST
This workshop supports participants in developing a more strategic approach to grant seeking. Topics include identifying and researching grant-making foundations, assessing funder alignment, prioritizing strong opportunities, and building a structured grant prospect list.
Cost: $50 per participant.
- The Head & The Heart of Legacy Giving
August 18, 2026, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM PST
This workshop supports fundraisers who are interested in starting or strengthening a gifts-in-wills / legacy giving program. Participants will learn about research-backed donor conversations, the building blocks of a legacy giving program, and how storytelling can support legacy giving marketing and stewardship.
Cost: $75 per participant.
