Day 1 – Screening:
Filmmakers can submit a video for consideration by October 1, 2026. Submissions must be suitable for general audiences. Audience members can reserve a free ticket to attend the screening.
Day 2 – Forum:
Register for a free spot by September 30, 2026 and provide input to help shape the workshops and industry programming.
The City of Surrey is presenting Screen Connects Surrey, a free two-day event designed to showcase local films, connect screen-based creatives with industry professionals, and help shape future screen arts programming in Surrey.
The event welcomes filmmakers, animators, video artists, content creators, vloggers, directors, producers, writers, costume and makeup artists, and other screen-based creatives.
Day 1 – Screening
Friday, November 20, 6:00–9:00 PM
Attend as an audience member or submit your work for an opportunity to be included in the local film screening.
Film submissions are due October 1, 2026 and must be suitable for general audiences. Audience admission is free, but a ticket is required. Filmmakers whose work is selected do not need to reserve a separate ticket.
Day 2 – Forum
Saturday, November 21, time TBD
The Forum will feature workshops, guest speakers, and industry insights based on the interests of Surrey’s local creative community.
Participants are invited to register by September 30, 2026 and share input on what they would like to see included in the program. The full Forum schedule is expected to be released by October 31, 2026.
