Crowdfunding Manager Application: The Hollow Girl – [Your Name]
Project Overview
Principal photography is officially complete on The Hollow Girl, an 18-minute psychological horror short film.
Logline: At a psychiatric youth hospital, a troubled teen with unexplained powers becomes the key to solving the disappearance of a young woman, drawing dangerous attention in the process.
As the project moves through the post-production pipeline, we are launching a targeted crowdfunding campaign on Seed&Spark to raise crucial funds for sound design, colour grading, and festival submission fees. Our base greenlight target is $9,500, with stretch goals extending to $25,000.
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and strategic Crowdfunding Campaign Manager to spearhead our digital and email outreach. Because the film is already shot, you will have access to high-quality, cinematic psychological horror imagery and footage to leverage for marketing updates.
The creative team is based in Port Coquitlam. While daily tasks are fully remote, we are prioritizing a local Lower Mainland collaborator who can join the Director and Executive Producer for occasional in-person strategy sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Outreach: Lead targeted email and grassroots outreach campaigns to independent film communities, horror genre enthusiasts, prospective backers, and local organizations.
- Campaign Asset Organization: Coordinate with the Writer/Director to curate, schedule, and optimize campaign updates using existing film assets on the Seed&Spark landing page.
- Core Team Communication: Maintain clear, consistent, and frequent communication loops via email and hybrid meetings with the Port Coquitlam-based production team.
- Audience Engagement: Monitor community inquiries on the crowdfunding page and actively engage with our growing backer base.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current student or recent graduate in Film, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or another closely related field.
- Based in the Lower Mainland. Proximity to Port Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities for hybrid meetings is a major asset.
- A genuine passion for the psychological horror genre and independent cinema.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with a knack for writing compelling, personalized outreach emails.
- A high level of personal organization and the ability to work independently to meet strict timeline targets.
