About the Project:
We are a dedicated, highly talented local crew gearing up for a fun and professional micro-short passion project. Written and directed by a successful indie filmmaker, the core creative crew is locked.
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to join us as an Associate Producer / Production Coordinator to bridge pre-production logistics and run a tight, collaborative set.
This is an ideal role for an emerging filmmaker, recent film school graduate, or coordinator looking to step up into a producer credit with a strong piece of material for their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production:
- Assist the Director with casting logistics, including scheduling auditions and coordinating actor communications.
- Finalize basic crew/talent deal memos and location agreements.
- Assist the AD with a key crew production meeting the week prior to the shoot.
On Set:
- Act as the organizational anchor on set.
- Oversee the daily schedule.
- Coordinate with department heads.
- Manage call sheets.
- Ensure a safe, smooth, and respectful filming environment.
What We’re Looking For:
A self-starter who thrives on logistics, organization, and clear communication. Based in the Lower Mainland with a solid understanding of indie film set etiquette. Passionate about independent filmmaking and eager to take ownership of the physical production side of a short film.
