Kelowna Film Studios (KFS) is currently reviewing contained thriller screenplays for potential development consideration.
KFS is looking for stories where the threat, stakes, and central story engine become clear quickly, with tension driven by character and circumstance rather than stunt-heavy production. Kelowna Film Studios
Screenplays should demonstrate:
- A protagonist with agency who must make difficult choices under pressure
- An antagonist or threat with a clear motive
- A first act that establishes the danger and begins building tension
- Credible and immediate stakes
- Twists that are surprising but supported by what came before
- A practical production approach, including contained locations and a controlled cast
KFS notes that contained stories are preferred over projects dependent on extensive stunts or vehicle-heavy spectacle. Kelowna Film Studios
Applicants should submit a complete screenplay along with a concise logline identifying the protagonist, threat, central conflict, and stakes.
Submitting material does not create a confidentiality, representation, development, payment, or production commitment. Applicants should review KFS’s Submitted Material Policy before submitting.
