We have Four (4) openings within our Cable team. F/T, regular business hours weekdays, 8:00am until 5:00pm.
Cable Crew members take great care ensuring equipment is appropriately pulled, received, cleaned, inspected, and available for customer rental. This means certifying equipment is safe, fully operational, and prepared to the highest standard for client use. This is a repetitive role that includes working directly with customers, building rapport and responding to immediate inquiries.
Responsibilities: Receive and process orders and cable trucks with care, in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner; Complete testing of cable equipment following established MBS procedures and Best Practices; Once tested and confirmed fully operational, coil cables, clean equipment, and place into appropriate storage location; Build rapport with customers, maintaining positive disposition and high standards of customer service at all times; Complete work assignments and special projects as delegated by Department Head or 2nd Department Head; Keep cable department processing areas, walkways, and shelves are organized and clean as part of housekeeping and safety requirements; Adherence to Health and Safety policies and regulations, including but not limited to WHMIS, safe operation of equipment where applicable, electrical safety, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and PPE.
Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service; Previous experience working in a warehouse environment; Able to meet the physical demands of the job; maneuver awkward rental gear and able to lift more than 75 lbs. (training provided on proper lifting techniques); Can work in the elements, including outdoors; Can demonstrate a strong attention to detail; Enjoys working as a team; Uses good decision-making ability; Good verbal and written communication skills; Reliable, and available to do overtime, including evenings and weekends, to support client needs as needed; Demonstrate safe work practices and safe operation of equipment (training provided).
