Titmouse Foundation and Warrior Art Camp are accepting applications for the Short Animation Fellowship, a free online skill development and mentorship program for early-to-mid career animation filmmakers.

The fellowship supports animation professionals in developing and creating original animated shorts. The 2026–2027 theme is “Myth-making,” welcoming projects that explore myths from diverse cultures and reimagine folklore, contemporary stories, and cultural perspectives through animation.

The program includes two phases. Phase One is a nine-week intermediate-to-advanced training program, with weekly three-hour Zoom classes beginning August 22, 2026. By the end of Phase One, participating teams are expected to complete a pitch deck and present their project during Pitch Day.

Phase Two is a six-month production period from January to June 2027, where selected teams continue developing and completing their short animated films with mentorship support.

Eligible teams must consist of exactly two members. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, located in the United States or Canada, fluent in English, have at least one year of professional work experience, and be able to commit to the full program.

Projects must be original short animation ideas connected to the theme of Myth-making. Final films must be 1–2 minutes long, use no spoken dialogue, rely on visual storytelling and music-driven audio design, and be created using 2D animation or 2D/3D hybrid techniques.
