Vertical microdramas are reshaping entertainment—fast, compelling stories made for a modern audience. These are bite-sized episodes with big emotions, built to be watched on smartphones.

In this two-day bootcamp led by industry experts, learn how microdramas are made and why they are taking off in Vancouver.

Saturday, July 11th, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

We’ll open with a panel discussion featuring filmmakers immersed in the verticals industry. Attendees will then join the workshop for their chosen specialization (acting, directing, or writing) and begin a deep dive into making a microdrama.

Sunday, July 12th, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Attendees will return for a “production day,” where the process of making a microdrama will unfold.
