Animation is about imagining worlds and climate change is reshaping the world we live in. The animation sector has a long tradition of care, curiosity, and imagination.
Producing for the Planet Society (P4P) is a Canadian non-profit coalition of independent producers committed to sustainability. P4P is developing a Sustainable Animation Toolkit — a first-of-its-kind resource supporting environmentally responsible animation production across Canada. The toolkit will include a climate-action guide and an animation carbon calculator.
We are inviting artists to submit original artwork for the official cover design of the Toolkit.
The winning design will be featured on the cover of the Sustainable Animation Toolkit. It will represent a shared commitment within Canada’s animation community: to imagine the future thoughtfully, to create with intention, and to take responsibility for how our work is made and what we depict on screen.
