This month, we’re excited to welcome Reno Anastasio, a local filmmaker and crew member who has been part of the Thompson-Nicola film community since 2018. Reno has worked on numerous productions as a grip, production assistant, and sound mixer, and brings a wide range of on-set experience.
Reno will be speaking about his experience securing a distribution deal for a feature film, sharing insights into the process and what filmmakers should know when navigating distribution.
Through his company Healing Light Films, Reno has produced indie features, documentaries, and music videos—including Keepers of the Earth, which won Best Music Video at the Swiss Screenwriting and Cinematic Summit. He was also nominated for a Leo Award in 2025 for his documentary New World New Beats. His latest feature, Guardians, continues his work in independent filmmaking.
