In order for out-of-district students interested in enrolling in the Powell River Digital Film School Program for the second semester of grade 11 or 12, commencing in September 2024, without incurring any fees, they must adhere to the following guidelines and conditions:
The program offers a hands-on, thorough curriculum focused on film production, spanning four days per week. Students will receive comprehensive instruction covering all fundamental aspects of film production, facilitating a seamless transition into post-secondary film studies or professional film production endeavors if they so choose.
Classes are conducted from Monday to Thursday, with sessions running from 9:00 AM to 2:45 PM.
This program is limited to only 14 students so please register now to ensure a seat in the program.
- Register in Brooks Secondary (SD47) prior to Sept 2024, to be entered into your courses and transfer school files.
- Must be school aged: under 19 as of July 1st 2024.
- Must be billeted in the qathet region, going between the island and qathet each day is not an option.
- MyEd BC is the only way to register
Parents will be able to create their MyEducation account by clicking on this link: https://myeducation.gov.bc.ca/aspen/logon.do
Select BC login account and begin to prepare your registration and please ensure you have the following information ready prior to proceeding:
- Valid email address.
- Proof of child’s age and citizenship (scan or photo) (Birth Certificate or Passport).
Once you submit your registration, you will receive confirmation via email. Please note that acceptance is based on available space.
