Marketing Yourself
Getting to know you
With some exceptions, most work in motion picture is project-based and freelance, which means you will need to be thinking about your next job while you are working in your current one. Having a good online presence and up to date resume can help get your name out to potential employers while you are currently working, so it’s worth investing in a few of the basics such as a current resume and as needed, a portfolio. That way, you will be ready when the time comes for your next gig.
While a portfolio or showreel is not necessary for every position in film, a resume is still an essential tool to get hired.
